How to Wear Yeezy Foam Runners (Outfit Ideas)

The Yeezy Foam Runners were created by the godfather of streetwear himself, Kanye West. If you own a pair, you might be wondering what to wear with your Foam Runners.

In this visual guide, I’m going to show you how to style and wear the Foam Runners. Here are some of the best Yeezy Foam Runner outfit ideas for men.

Foam Runners with shorts

When deciding what to wear with Foam Runners, the obvious choice is definitely a pair of shorts. The Foam Runners for me is a spring/summer shoe, after all.

As you can see, Justin Bieber often wears his Foam Runners with neutral-colored shorts like gray and white, along with a simple tee shirt as well as a beanie or a baseball cap.

Personally, I would choose neutral-colored shorts like black, charcoal, and gray that pair well with Yeezy’s color palette (Ararat, Sand, Ochre, Stone Sage, Mist, and Onyx).

Sweatshorts with drawstrings are perfect for this look, as they provide a casual streetwear look that complements the “effortless and carefree” vibe of the Yeezys.

For example, I think the ochre Foam Runners match well with a brown crew neck long-sleeve tee shirt. You could complete the look with a baseball cap and a tote bag.

You could choose to wear the Foam Runners with or without socks. Just make sure you choose neutral-colored socks that complement the color of your particular Yeezys.

Foam Runners with baggy or flare jeans

When deciding what to wear with the Yeezy Foam Runners, it’s always a good idea to learn how to style and wear the shoe from the creator himself, Kanye West.

As you can see, he pairs the Foam Runners with baggy jeans.

Baggy jeans, in my opinion, are the next best thing you can wear with the Yeezy Foam Runners, especially if you pair it with an oversized tee shirt or a baggy hoodie.

Alternatively, you could also pair your Yeezys with flare jeans that are slim fit throughout the thigh but have a wide leg opening that will fall on the shoes perfectly.

I wouldn’t recommend pairing this bulky shoe with any type of denim, especially skinny-fit jeans or fitted trousers, because the Foam Runners are bulkier than the average shoes.

It has a weird positioning around the opening and doesn’t have a tongue so the shoe goes outwards, so if you pair it with skinny jeans the bottom part of your body will look unbalanced.

Foam Runners with baggy sweatpants

Similarly, baggy sweatpants pair extremely well with the Yeezy Foam Runners. Try this combination during slow days when you’re going for a quick coffee run.

Think about athleisure and loungewear types of looks.

This familiar approach of wearing Yeezy Foam Runners for men has already been co-signed by Justin Bieber and Kanye West, so you’d certainly be in stylish company were you to give it a go.

Just make sure the color of the sweatpants complements the color of the Yeezys. Choose neutral-colored sweatpants like black, gray, navy blue, and olive green.

Up top, you could literally wear anything cozy like a hoodie or an oversized tee shirt. You could also add a baseball cap or a beanie so long as the colors do not clash with one another.

Remember, when styling the Yeezy Foam Runners, they look best with streetwear-inspired outfits. They’re actually a bulky pair of shoes so “baggier” fits are the way to go.

Foam Runners with baggy trousers and a jacket

Despite being a cozy shoe, the Yeezy Foam Runners pair very well with jackets too. You could opt for something neutral like the denim jacket or a streetwear classic, the varsity jacket.

You don’t have to stick with baggy denim or sweatpants, as any pair of loose-fitting trousers will do, whether it’s black, camo, or even off-white in color.

You could even pair it with a sweater vest

If you love some color in your outfit, you can choose any colored jacket with your Foam Runners. Or, you can choose one with more earth-tone colors for a more vintage look.

Just be sure to wear straight-fit denim jeans, like the Levi’s 501. It has a wider leg opening and will fall on the shoes perfectly and has a neutral color that matches anything.

Go for nude colors

As far as Yeezy Foam Runner outfits go, a choice of color that would never go wrong is nude. It’s a color trend that will never go out of style because they flatter all skin tones.

The combination of subtlety and sophistication of this color palette, blended with its versatile vibes, makes it easy to blend into the Yeezy Foam Runners for any occasion.

Whether you choose to wear shorts or baggy trousers, try a nude color tone.

A variety of shades are considered nude, such as light, reminiscent of pale skin, and pastel pink, and close to beige, and brownish, associated with a beautiful tan.

The color nude is associated with warmth. Because of its relaxing and comforting effect, nude would perhaps suggest conventional thinking and a focus on family and security.

And it’s a great way how to style the Yeezy Foam Runners.

Wear oversized graphic tees

Surprisingly, the Yeezy Foam Runners pair extremely well with graphic tee shirts, especially the oversized variety, which are another streetwear essential.

My advice is to go for a graphic tee with a vintage vibe and size up for a “baggier” look instead of wearing a slim-fit graphic tee. You could add gold jewelry if that’s your thing.

I also think graphic tees are super versatile because you could add an overshirt to include some subtle details to your fit, especially during the colder months.

Pair with the color green

Green is one of my favorite colors to wear, especially olive green and dark royal green, and I recommend you style it together with your Yeezy Foam Runners.

When paired with other earth-toned colors, like Yeezy’s Ararat, Sand, Stone Sage, and Mist, the color green just hits another level of fashion superiority.
