5 Skechers That Look Like Jordans (Cheaper)

Skechers has quite a history of borrowing designs, so it’s not much of a surprise that they have released plenty of Skechers shoes that look like Jordans (which are quite popular).

1. Skechers Mark Nason Alpha Cup – Tavin

The Air Jordan 1 was the first shoe produced for the great Michael Jordan. It’s the one that started it all and perhaps, is the most pivotal shoe in sneaker history.

What makes them so popular is the fact that they’re made for consumers who may or may not love basketball (who may or may not even play sports) and from any walk of life.

So, it comes as no surprise that competing brands like Skechers are looking to take advantage of the hype surrounding the popular design, as seen on the “Mark Nason Alpha Cup – Tavin”.

The sneaker features a lace-up mesh upper with leather overlays, fitted with cushioned Memory Foam Lux insoles, and a noticeable pair of thick rubber midsoles.

Skechers’ version of the low-top Jordans 1s is a nice, cheaper alternative to wear because it’s versatile and goes well with just about any outfit, from jeans to shorts.

The slight difference between the two sneakers I’ve noticed is that the Skechers’ version is made of mesh upper (which is more breathable) and the midsoles are speckled.

2. Skechers GO RUN Trail Altitude – Element

Out of all the Jordan shoes in existence, the Max Aura 4 is definitely not the most popular, but I had to mention it since it reminds me of the Skechers GO RUN Trail Altitude – Element.

The difference, however, is that the Jordan Max Aura 4 is a pair of basketball sneakers known for their lightweight cushioning and cloud-like heel support.

On the other hand, the Skechers GO RUN Trail Altitude – Element is noticeably heavier, considering it’s a pair of outdoor shoes with a rugged traction system.

I actually like these Skechers shoes because of their water-repellent leather and mesh upper that is durable. It’s also fitted with Air-Cooled Goga Mat™ insoles that provide great cushioning.

A friend of mine also has a pair of these Skechers.

He said the Skechers are comfortable considering he has to work in an office but also spends time in the warehouse, so it’s the perfect pair for running errands and going for walks.

3. Skechers Smart Block – Half Dome

The Air Jordan 17 was the special pair of basketball sneakers that marked the return of Michael Jordan as he made his way back to the game during the 2001-2002 NBA season.

At the time, the Air Jordan XVII was the most expensive Air Jordan ever created.

Due to its popularity, it’s only right for Skechers to capitalize on the hype by creating a similar-looking shoe dubbed the Skechers Smart Block – Half Dome.

Like the Jordan 17s, the Skechers Half Dome features a soft knit and nice nubuck leather upper at the heel and forefoot, finished with a lace-up sneaker design.

The difference, however, is that the Jordan 17 is obviously a pair of basketball sneakers, while the Skechers Half Dome is a pair of trail-blazing outdoor hiking shoes.

I think the Skechers Half Dome is quite comfortable. It hugs around the ankle without being too tight, while offering great support and reliable cushioning.

The material breathes, keeping my feet dry and comfortable, which I think is good enough for hiking in a diversity of terrain. Unbeatable price with quality, to boot (no pun intended).

4. Skechers Mark Nason Ziggy – Ren

Air Jordan 6 (top) Skechers Mark Nason Ziggy – Ren (bottom).

The Skechers Mark Nason Ziggy – Ren isn’t a pair of basketball shoes but is actually a pair of fashion sneakers mixed with several features for you to explore the great outdoors.

It has a lace-up leather and engineered knit upper with a sock-like fit, equipped with Memory Foam Lux comfort insoles and Goodyear® Rubber Outsoles for added traction.

As far as looks go, the Skechers Mark Nason Ziggy – Ren looks similar to the Air Jordan 6, which is a silhouette that was famously inspired by Michael Jordan’s German sports car.

Are they both identical? Definitely not. Jordan 6s have sporty and athletic colors like red, white, and black, while these Skechers are dominated by outdoor colors like olive and whiskey.

However, if you don’t mind the difference in color themes, the Skechers Mark Nason Ziggy – Ren is a great pair of Jordan look-alikes that is both cheap and durable at the same time.

5. Skechers Uno – Stand On Air

In terms of design, the Skechers Uno – Stand On Air reminds me a lot of two Jordan shoes. The first is the Air Jordan Dub Zero and the second is the Air Jordan 3.

These sneakers have “Skech-Air” visible air-cushioned midsoles, which is baffling because Skechers doesn’t hide the fact that it’s trying to mimic the visible Air in the sole of the Jordans.

In fact, I also listed the Skechers Uno – Stand On Air as one of the many Skechers that looks a lot like the Nike Air Max. You be the judge, do they look similar?

Jordan comparison aside, I have to give credit to Skechers. If you dismiss the fact that it’s trying to copy Jordan’s designs, it’s actually a comfortable pair of cushioned shoes.

They look great, feel great, and look modern but at the same time a little retro. Also, these shoes add a bit of height, which is why I’ve included them in the tallest Skechers list.
