How to Spot Fake Goorin Bros (Original vs. Fake)

In short: Look for the “The Farm” hologram sticker located on the underbrim of a Goorin Bros trucker cap. If there isn’t one, the product is most likely fake (not authentic).

Are you wondering whether your Goorin Bros trucker cap is original or fake? In this article, you’ll learn how to spot fake Goorin Bros by comparing the original vs. fake. Let’s get started.

1. Buy from the official Goorin Bros store

The only way to guarantee that you’re getting the real deal is to buy from the official Goorin Bros store. You can go to their website or visit their official Amazon store.

Those are the two places that I’ve confirmed sell the original Goorin Bros. If you’re going to buy from the secondary market, there’s always a chance that you’ll pick up a fake one.

2. Pay attention to the castle logo

Let’s pay attention to the actual product.

The first thing that you need to pay attention to is the castle logo. The castle logo is the official Goorin Bros logo, which you’ll find on all generations of their authentic trucker caps.

Every Goorin Bros trucker cap, as well as the Goorin Bros fedoras, is fitted with the castle logo. If you don’t see the castle logo, you’re probably looking at a fake product.

In fact, some of these Goorin Bros alternatives have no crown logo.

However, there would be some fake products out there fitted with a castle logo to imitate the real deal. You’ll need to pay attention to the “pointiness” of the castle logo.

The authentic Goorin Bros castle logo is neat, without over-exaggerated pointed tips on the castle. On the other hand, the fake castle logo will have sharp tips on the picture.

The castle logo is the true sign of quality from the Goorin Bros. If there is no castle logo, it’s fake. But if there is one, notice the appearance of the castle logo.

Fake sellers are becoming better at creating replicas.

3. Look for the hologram sticker

The second thing to look for is the hologram sticker, located on the underbrim of the trucker cap. Whenever you see the holographic sticker, you’ll know that you’re looking at a legit product.

Some of the older generations might not have the hologram sticker, but newer generations of truckers purchased from Goorin Bros come with a holographic sticker.

If you see the sticker, you can feel good about the hat.

Remember, Goorin Bros trucker caps are often imitated but never duplicated. The Farm hologram sticker located on the underbrim certifies the authenticity of each product.

4. Notice the embroidery

Next, you’ll need to notice the embroidery of the animal patch on the trucker cap. The authentic product will have neat embroidery with exquisite details, almost like a painting.

The fake product, on the other hand, will not have a high level of detail on the animal patch. You can immediately tell the rough quality of the fake one by noticing the quality of the animal patch.

In my Goorin Bros hat review, I noted the level of detail on the animal patch.

Also, notice the text on the animal patch. Each alphabet on the text written on the animal patch should be separated, not connected to one another.

If the alphabet is connected with a thread, you’re probably looking at a fake product. Remember, the level of detail on the animal patch should look like a work of art.

5. Pay attention to the lining on the inside

This particular section is specific to newer generations of Goorin Bros hats. What you’ll need to pay attention to is the lining on the inside of the trucker cap.

First, notice the lining above the sweatband (the area covering the front part of your head). You’ll see “THE FARM” text printed in neat lines all over the lining.

Second, notice the side straps on the inside of the hat. You’ll want to see smooth, high-quality materials on the inside. You can’t really fake that funk. If it’s good quality, it’s probably authentic.

But remember, the lining is exclusive to new generations of Goorin Bros trucker caps. Some older generations of Goorin Bros might not have this type of lining on the inside.

6. Look for the serial number

Take a look inside the hat. You should see the “Goorin Bros” label next to the “ONE SIZE” tag. Peek under the “ONE SIZE” tag. The original should have a serial number on it.

Fake Goorin Bros don’t have this unique serial number. They might have the Goorin Bros label along with the “ONE SIZE” tag, but they won’t have the authentic serial number.

7. Notice the color on the cardboard

Each Goorin Bros trucker cap is fitted with cardboard inside to protect the integrity of the product. Take the cardboard out of the hat and pay attention to the color.

The authentic Goorin Bros should have lively and vivid colors on the cardboard, whereas the fake ones should have dull and watered-down colors on the cardboard.

8. Look for the import tag

Last but not least, look for the import tag on the inside of a Goorin Bros trucker cap. You should be able to see the import tag (where it says Made in China) on the sweatband.

Fake Goorin Bros don’t have this import tag because they’re likely made somewhere in the region. If you don’t see the import tag, you’re probably looking at a fake product.
